How SkinTyte works

SkinTyte utilizes infrared energy to heat deep collagen in your skin, which initiates the body’s natural healing processes. This stimulates new collagen production (which become visible over the course of several months) and firms the skin. The handheld device includes a tip that cools the skin as it simultaneously heats the collagen. SkinTyte can be used all over the body to treat sagging skin, and may also improve skin tone irregularities as well.

SkinTyte treatment details

It is important that you do not have any wounds on the day of your SkinTyte treatment. The treatment is performed without any anesthesia, and typically takes about one hour. When you arrive, a gel will be applied to the area that will be treated. Dr. Hessler will use a handpiece to administer infrared energy to the skin. This energy appears in gentle, rapid pulses. Most patients report that this feels like a warm sensation, and the handpiece includes a cooling feature to keep you comfortable.

It will take a series of SkinTyte treatments to achieve optimal results, although you will see improvement after just one session. We recommend having 3 to 5 SkinTyte treatments, spaced about three weeks apart. The results will continue to improve over the course of six months. It may take up to four months for SkinTyte results to become apparent.

Recovery

Patients may return to their regular day after a SkinTyte treatment, although we recommend avoiding sun exposure for 48 hours. You may apply sunscreen and/or makeup after treatment. Some patients experience slight swelling, bruising, redness, and discomfort that may last up to a week.

Is SkinTyte right for me?

SkinTyte is great for any skin color or type. Ideal candidates for this treatment are those with mild to moderate skin looseness on the face, neck, and body. It is not recommended for individuals who are pregnant, have autoimmune disorders, or those taking Accutane®.
