There are some important aftercare steps to take to look and feel your best after receiving dermal fillers or Botox®.
Aftercare instructions for Botox
- Exercise the treated muscles for the first hour after treatment (raising your eyebrows, scowling, squinting, etc). This helps the Botox to be more effective.
- Avoid lying down for three hours after treatment.
- If you received Botox in your forehead, avoid washing your hair or using a blow dryer for 24 hours.
- You may apply cold compresses for 5 to 10 minutes every 2 hours if swelling to the affected areas for Botox.
