How does the NanoLaserPeel work?

The NanoLaserPeel is a laser resurfacing procedure that uses laser energy to remove the dead skin on the top layer, while also encouraging the skin’s own renewal process.

Different microns can be used depending on how deep you want to go, making the procedure customizable.

NanoLaserPeel treatment details

Before the procedure begins, you will be made comfortable on a medical chair and given protective eyewear. Dr. Hessler will begin administering the laser, which feels like a quick, hot sensation, but is very tolerable. No topical is necessary, but we will provide one if you prefer. The laser makes white patches as it works, but these go away immediately after treatment, once your face is cleansed. The treatment typically takes 10 to 20 minutes. Although beautiful results can be achieved in just one session, the exact number of NanoLaserPeel treatments you will need will be determined by your skin type and your personal aesthetic goals.

Recovery and results

Because the NanoLaserPeel doesn’t go very deep, there is minimal downtime compared with traditional chemical peels. After your treatment, your skin will appear quite pink. It will become pinker over the next 24 hours, at which point the dead skin will begin peeling away and you are left with a beautifully radiant skin glow. You can expect to need three days to see results, and during this time your skin may feel tight or itchy.

The NanoLaser Peel is not a good option for those with deep-set sun damage or severe wrinkles.
