The Clear + Brilliant laser is also an effective way to treat pigmentation or brown spots on the skin and other signs of sun damage.
Unlike many lasers that pose significant risks for patients with more pigment in their skin, the Clear + Brilliant laser is a helpful treatment for Asian skin pigmentation, and one of the best treatments for dark pigmentation of the face on darker skin.
Clear + Brilliant laser treatments are performed in our Palo Alto Plastic surgery office. As this is a gentle treatment, it is performed with only topical numbing cream without the need for additional anesthesia.
Treatments are quick and easy (about 45 minutes), with essentially no downtime with the exception of redness following the treatment and a non-visible texture to the skin for about five days.
While you’ll see improvement with just one treatment, Clear + Brilliant treatments are usually done in a series of five sessions separated one month apart. 85% of patients report having visibly younger-looking skin after completing their series.
Fortunately, recovery from the Clear + Brilliant laser will not cost you days away from work. Your skin will be slightly flushed following the treatment. The redness can last as short as a few minutes to a few hours, depending on your skin sensitivity. The Clear + Brilliant laser can cause the skin to feel hot during the treatment, and also for a short while afterward.
